Obama to use Facebook to hold live-streamed town hall meeting
The tech-savvy US president Barack Obama will hold his next town hall meeting on Facebook. Taking place at Facebook headquarters, Obama will host a live-streamed session, focused on the economy, and everyone is invited to participate.
Said the White House:
“The President will connect with Americans across the country to discuss the tough choices we must all make to put our economy on a more responsible fiscal path, while still investing in the innovation economy that makes America more competitive.”
Alternatively, members of the public can submit questions on the White House Facebook page, here.
This looks like a great way to get more people, especially the young, involved in the political process: make it easy and approachable. One day we will likely be able to vote online too – imagine what that could do for the turnout.

Your work has always been a great source of inspiration for me. I refer you blog to many of my friends as well.
This is another achievement for facebook.

I think a portion should go to the deficit, however some of it should go to student athletes in the form of summer jobs, etc, etc.
