Samsung Galaxy S finally gets Android Gingerbread update

It’s been a long time coming, but owners of the slick Samsung Galaxy S handset will soon be able to enjoy the delights of Android Gingerbread, touching down on the smartphone via an over-the-air update later this week.

The 2.3 build of Google’s OS has already landed in some Nordic territories including Holland, as well as Germany and is expected to reach all Galaxy S UK handsets before the week is out.
