Samsung Galaxy S III to launch next year
Looks like Samsung are going to take a leaf out of Apple’s book on product launches, with Samsung Galaxy S smartphones set to become an annual affair. Sammyhave no confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy S III is already in the works, ready for a 2012 release.
“Samsung may launch a third version of its Galaxy S smartphone in the first half of next year after launching a second-generation version called Galaxy S II last month,” J.K. Shin, president of Samsung’s mobile communications division said over at the Dow Jones Newswires.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab also got a mention from Shin. Speaking of the 7 inch model due later this year, he spoke of the race to get a decent 4G system into the firm’s slate. Rather than a full successor, it will be a refined version of the Tabs that have gone before.
“The race for 4G (fourth-generation) has already started,” J.K. Shin said.
“4G transition is inevitable particularly for tablets because it requires faster download speeds than smartphones to handle bigger volume content.”
