EVO_3D_3Views-728-75.jpgHTC have finally lifted the lid on the details surrounding the UK launch of the HTC EVO 3D smartphone. First revealed at CTIA in Florida and on just recently going on sale in the US, it’s expected to touch down in the UK around July.

Packing a dual-lens 5MP camera on its rear, the HTC EVO 3D is capable of capturing both 3D and 2D stills and videos, with dual-LED flash lighting up shots. 3D content can then be played back on the 4.3 inch 560×960-res glasses-free 3D screen. The camera focus here is further cemented with the addition of a dedicated camera shutter button and 2D-to-3D camera switch.

A “Watch Service”, giving access to 3D shows and movies, will also launch alongside the handset, though apart from potentially having the mediocre The Green Hornet movie pre-loaded, don’t initially expect to see much on offer here.

Specs-wise, it’s almost identical to its US counterpart; a 1.2Ghz dual core Qualcomm processor sits under the hood alongside 1GB RAM and 4GB of internal storage. Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, mini HDMI and a 1.3 megapixel front facing camera for video calling. Android 2.3.3 is the OS of choice, with HTC Sense UI 3.0 overlaid on top. The only real difference comes with the antenna, with GSM support for the UK variant.

No word on pricing or carrier yet, but we’ll keep you posted.
