Sony Ericsson Urushi phone brings Gingerbread smarts, hopefully without breaking the bank

Sony Ericsson’s latest mid-range Android handset has popped up online, with a spec sheet that should see it fit snugly into the budgets of those who can’t afford Sony Ericsson’s silky Xperia Arc smartphone. The Sony Ericsson ST18i, aka the Urushi, will touch down in September packing in Android Gingerbread 2.3.3.
Specs-wise the Urushi looks a capable-if-not-mindblowing handset, with its 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset , Adreno 205 GPU, 335MB of RAM, 8MP camera, 720p video shooting, and a 854×480 Bravia Mobile powered 3.2-inch display.
No idea where the tie-in is to Japanese woodcut art as suggested by the name, but it looks a nice little blower presumably for not too much of your hard earned cash. A few photos follow below.
