Hankering for a QWERTY-packing Gingerbread handset but have barely got two pennies to rub together? Take a look at this latest budget offering from LG, the Optimus Pro C660.

Running Android 2.3, the C660 has a 2.8 unch QVGA display with a 3MP snapper on the rear. Wi-Fi and GPS connectivity, a 1500 mAh battery and support for H.264 and MPEG4 video, alongside MP3, AMR, AAC and AAC+ audio formats round out the blower.

Now, this is hardly going to rank up their with the smartphone big-boys ( a leaked spec sheet even suggests that it might lack 3G connectivity, instead relying on Edge) but for a rumoured €179, you’ll find it hard to nab both Gingerbread and a QWERTY for that little cash.

Already available in Italy, we’ll keep you posted on any news of a UK release.
