Asus Eee Pad Transformer 2 teaser trailer revealed

The Optimus Prime of tablets looks set to return soon, after ASUS posted a teaser trailer on their YouTube channel titled “The Next Transformation”. From the clip and the title, it doesn’t take a genius to figure out that an Asus Eee Pad Transformer 2 tablet is on the way.

It’s a graphics-heavy, abstract trailer that doesn’t reveal too much, specs-wise, beyond showing a tablet rising up out of a Tron-style cityscape before splitting in two.

What the clip does reveal though is that a metallic finish will feature on the tablet hybrid, using the same detachable keyboard set up as the original Transformer tablet. A camera with flash is also seen on the rear, while the keyboard docking station also houses a USB port.

DigiTimes have previously reported that the tablet will touch down at around the $500 mark, while a quad-core Nvidia Kal-El processor has also been tipped for inclusion.
