The MMORPG seems to be struggling with the release of new subscriber figures however despite this it is still the number one online game of all time.

These figures show that the amount of subscribers seem to be has dropped sharply with around one million subscribers leaving since March 2011. This is a lot of people by anyone’s measure but it still leaves Blizzard’s cash-cow with a healthy 10.3 million subscribers, still the most subscribed too game on the internet.

Blizzard CEO Mike Morhaime said that a lot of the subscriptions lost where from their eastern markets. However with the announcement of the new update coming next year, the Mists of Pandaria, most would expect these figures to go back up to their normal levels.

You would think that Blizzard are not too concerned right now about these figures as they know that Cataclysm is coming to the end of its lifecycle, I personally cant see anything taking World of Warcraft down in the next few years the loyalty base is far too strong.
