Lenovo will likely launch the first Windows 8 tablet
Lenovo could be the first manufacturer to put out a Windows 8 tablet, with a source claiming they’ll have a slate running Microsoft’s new OS on shelves by October of this year.
Details are slim on the new tablet, with the only rumoured spec being an Intel processor tucked away inside.
However, we may have already had a sneak glimpse at what to expect from the Lenovo gadget, after the company showed off their 13.3 inch keyboard-convertible IdeaPad Yoga at CES 2012 in January.
It’ll be some feat if Lenovo manage to beat the pack of competitors clamouring to be the first manufacturer offering a Windows 8 tablet. Remember that Dell CEO Michael Dell has already vowed to have a tablet ready from his stable “on the exact day” Windows 8 lands.
