Huawei Ascend P1: super-slim ICS handset launching in August

huawei-ascend-p1-press.jpgHuawei have revealed that their super-slim, Ice Cream Sandwich-packing Ascend P1 handset will hit UK stores in August, available for free on £26 per month contracts from Vodafone.

Measuring up at 127.4 x 64.8 x 7.7mm and weighing 110g, the Ascend P1 houses a a 1.5GHz TI OMAP 4460 Cortext-A9 dual-core processor alongside a PowerVR SGX graphics chip and 1GB of RAM.

A 4.3 inch Super AMOLED display is there to get friendly with your fingers, running at a 960×540 resolution behind Corning’s Gorilla Glass.

Photography is handled by an 8MP rear snapper with backside illumination sensor tech, capable of full HD recording. A 1.3MP front-facing camera is also onboard. Connectivity includes HSDPA support as well as Wi-Fi. DLNA streaming is also featured.

4GB of storage comes pre-installed with the Ascend P1, with expansion by an extra 32GB possible with microSD cards.
