Weighing just three pounds and measuring 18mm thick, the starting $1,399 models come equipped with 1.7GHz Intel Core i5 processor and 128GB SSD, with optional i5 configurations clocked at 1.8GHz and an i7 configuration at 2.0GHz. All processors are Ivy Bridge generation. Additional storage can also be configured.

4GB of RAM and a 1600×900 display come as standard, along with Windows 7 Professional, no matter what you price range, but all models except the entry level also have the option of adding on 3G capabilities, which will be welcome news for the mobile worker.

A Rapid Charge feature also sees the machine soak up 80% worth of battery capacity after just a 30 minute charge.
