Tech Cafe coming to Tech City, London, courtesy of the Wall Street Journal: Seminars with Facebook and Google planned
The Wall Street Journal is to turn The Book Club in London’s Shoreditch into a “Tech Cafe” between September 12 and September 14, hosting seminars with leading companies including Facebook and Google.
Led by the Journal’s European technology editor Ben Rooney and Alan Murray, executive editor of The Wall Street Journal Online, all events will be open to the public and are free, at the heart of the area now known as “Tech City” in the UK capital.
“The Wall Street Journal’s global technology coverage is unrivalled in its breadth and depth, delivering breaking news, insightful features and compelling discussion about industry trends,” said Rooney.
“Our Tech Europe blog has been helping tell Europe’s tech story for almost two years now, and our first ever Tech Café will allow us to bring all this coverage to a wider audience. I hope we’ll have some thought-provoking, engaging and even controversial discussion on some of the big topics in tech.”
The Wall Street Journal Tech Cafe will be held at The Book Club, Shoreditch from 8am 12 September to 5pm 14 September. You can pre-register to attend the seminars and talks by heading over to wsjtechcafe.eventbrite.co.uk.
