Canon PowerShot A2500 compact camera revealed: 16MP, 5x optical zoom

As well as a shed load of new IXUS compact digital cameras being revealed today, Canon are lifting the covers off of a lone addition to their PowerShot range with the PowerShot A2500.
A 16MP snapper with a 5x optical zoom lens (28-140mm equivalent range), its metal chassis and svelte dimensions are designed to make it slip comfortable into a small bag or larger pocket.
Featuring a 2.7-inch LCD screen on its rear (its smaller size making it a step down from the A2600 model), the camera includes digital image stabilisation capabilities, a battery-saving Eco mode, plenty of creative modes and filters and can the ability to capture 720p videos.
Due out in late April, it’ll be an £89 high street exclusive.
