Aliens take over London landmark with giant egg for Colonial Marines launch
“They’re coming outta the goddamn walls! And the goddamn Thames river! And goddamn Tower Bridge!”
That’s exactly (probably) what Aliens‘ Private Hudson would have said had he seen the scene on London’s Southbank yesterday, where Sega had plonked a giant alien egg in the Potters Field Park to promote Aliens: Colonial Marines, the latest sci-fi shooter from the development team that brought us Borderlands. The 20-foot tall egg was guarded by a team of real-life Colonial Marines (or at least some pretty ace fancy dress wearers) as well as a bloody scary xenomorph alien. Not the sort of stunt to bring a little one along to we’d imagine, and we’d hate to think just how big the facehugger set to jump out of that egg would be (though there’d be more than enough yolk in that thing for a fair few pancakes today!).
Aliens: Colonial Marines hits Xbox 360, PS3 and PC today. You can read our full review by clicking here, and be in with a chance of winning one of five Limited Edition competition copies we’ve got up for grabs by following the instructions here. Good luck!
