Breaking Bad Season 5 finale to hit UK Netflix day after US TV
Netflix will be the exclusive streaming home for the second half of the fifth and final season of Breaking Bad. And best of all, UK fans of the show will have to wait just 24 hours to see the final episodes of the hit show on Netflix after they are first aired on US TV.
The final eight episodes of the series kick off on 11 August on US channel AMC, but Netflix will be offering the show on demand in the UK and Ireland almost immediately afterwards, kicking off on 12th August. Unlike traditional Netflix seasons however, where an entire season is made available to “binge” stream at once, only one episode at a time of Breaking Bad’s second half of season five will be released each week, alongside the traditional broadcast slot.
“Netflix has been instrumental in making Breaking Bad the success that it is – particularly in the UK and Ireland, where it has built an audience and become a huge phenomenon,” said the Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan.
“I am delighted that fans there will be able to enjoy the end of Breaking Bad on Netflix so soon after it airs in the US.”
All series of Breaking Bad, up to the first half of series five, are available right now on Netflix. Just enough time to cram them all in if you haven’t seen this remarkable show before.
