Motorola Droid MAXX 2013 headed to Verizon; new leak reveals a few fresh details
This year seems set to be the one where we’ll see the first true fruits of Google’s Motorola buyout begin to take shape. While we all eagerly await news on the fabled Moto X handset EvLeaks have managed to uncover a few new details on another of the Moto handsets slated for release this year, the Motorola MAXX.
Set to carry the Droid branding stateside (so that’s the Motorola Droid MAXX, to give it its full name), it’s set to be the successor the similarly named smartphone from last year that packed in a chunky, capacious battery pack.
The EvLeaks press shot that’s been uncovered by their snooping sources suggests that handset’s exterior at the very least will remain familiar, looking to keep the kevlar casing of the previous generation. A front-facing camera and top positioned speaker grille are also present, while three capacitive touch buttons are placed on the lower edge.
The MAXX looks certain to continue the Verizon-Droid branding, and will almost certainly hit that network first, if not exclusively.
With a Motorola event at Google’s campus in San Francisco pencilled in for 11 July, expect full details on the leaky Moto phones to be revealed shortly.
