Acer Liquid S2 smartphone is first to offer 4K video recording
Acer have today revealed the Liquid S2 smartphone, capable of recording clips in super-high 4K resolution, making it the first mobile phone to offer the feature and making it harder than ever to hide that breakout that’s plagued your face.
Making use of a sizeable full HD 6-inch screen, powered by a speedy 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor backed by 2GB of RAM, it’s a premium spec sheet from Acer, who in the past have struggled to grab the headlines with their smartphones. They should have no such problems here, beating the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 to the 4K punch, with that handset too expected to offer the high resolution shooting option.
Running Android 4.2.2, the Liquid S2 also boasts a 13MP rear camera with LED ring Flash and a BSI sensor, while the ACer Float UI gives one-finger focus and exposure adjustment to smartphone snappers, as well as offering a Smart Best Shot mode that picks the best photo out of a burst.
Available from October, no pricing details have been shared yet. We’ll look to get some hands-on time with the handset later this week when it makes its debut in Berlin at the IFA 2013 tech conference.
