After months of speculation, it’s now been confirmed that we will be getting a new Jurassic Park film. And, rather than it being called Jurassic Park 4, this time we’ll be heading to Jurassic World!
Deadline Hollywood are reporting that the third dinosaur cloning sequel is now moving forward nicely, with a release date set for June 12 2015.
The film is to be co-written and directed by Colin Trevorrow (whose excellent Safety Not Guaranteed is well worth a look), while the legendary Steven Spielberg will be executive producer.
“It’s important to make a movie for the fans, but I also have to remember that there’s a lot of people who couldn’t care less, and need for me to make a solid case for why the hell there’s a Jurassic Park IV in the first place,” Trevorrow told IGN.
Trevorrow also revealed a “pretty badass” new dinosaur will also be making an appearance in the next movie. And it’ll all be in 3D this time around too.
