Bose announce Soundlink Bluetooth Speaker III
Fancy speaker maker Bose have today unveiled their latest bluetooth speaker – enabling you to play tunes from your tablet or phone through something that isn’t the tinny little built-in speaker.
The Soundlink Bluetooth Speaker III is a step up from the Soundlink II – apparently delivering better audio performance, a new design and longer battery life. On a technical level, Bose claim that the device “integrates Bose proprietary technologies to reproduce music with fullness, clarity and depth”.
Inside there’s four neodymium transducers and dual-opposing passive radiators, which combine with a new digital signal processing algorithm to improved electronics to play louder than its predecessor, while apparently maintaining balanced and natural sound at higher listening levels. I know what you’re thinking: those are certainly some impressive sounding words.
The good news is that the battery will apparently last for 14 hours on a single charge, and the device will remember the last six paired bluetooth devices, so there will be no need to repeatedly faff about linking it up to your phone.
The new Soundlink III is available and will set you back £259.95 (including the Bose elitism tax). There will also be a range of coloured accessories available for £29.95 a piece.
