HTC One Mini 2 revealed – hitting stores next month
HTC have this morning announced the forthcoming release of the HTC One Mini 2 – a smaller variant on the recently released HTC One M8. Read on for all of the details.
Essentially things are exactly as we expected. The screen has been shrunken down to 4.5″ and the clever secondary camera on the rear has been removed in favour of a 13 megapixel one-camera setup. (The secondary camera on the bigger brother enabled some clever effects with depth perception). One feature that has been kept is the 5 megapixel front facing camera – which will lead to some of the highest resolution selfies possible.
HTC are also keen to point out the device runs several proprietary HTC features – such as the “Sense” user interface and “Blinkfeed”, which aggregates all of your social media on to your home screen. Similarly like the M8, the Mini 2 also sports dual front facing speakers.
The HTC One Mini 2 is due to hit stores next month and will be available in “Gunmetal Gray”, “Glacial Silver” and “Amber Gold”. We’ll try to review it nearer the time.

There’s a lot of good going on in the HTC One mini 2. For many it will be perfectly powerful, the battery performance is reasonable if not exemplary, but the software experience is one of our favourites in the current market.
