Is the iPhone 6 coming in AUGUST?!
Could we be seeing the iPhone 6 much earlier than planned? That’s what an “unidentified supply chain source” in Taiwan reckons.
The reports come via Reuters, who report that the Taiwanese Economic Daily News claimed that the 4.7″ version of the iPhone 6 will hit the shops in August – a month earlier than we all expected. This will then be followed in September by the rumoured ‘phablet’ 5.5″ version.
The same report apparently also claimed that 80 million iPhone 6 units will be produced this year. Crikey.
Obviously this should be treated with caution: we don’t know who the “source” was after all – but it does match with the speculation about an early announcement at next month’s Apple Worldwide Developers Conference.
We’ll have more as we get it.
