PS4 pre-loading to start with Destiny (and NOT Watch Dogs)
Pre-loading – the ability to download a game ahead of release, so you can play the second it is released has long been a core feature of PC game service Steam – but now it is coming to the PS4 too, starting with forthcoming shooter Destiny.
Though the feature has been anticipated for some time, Dual Shockers have confirmed that this won’t be supported for the eagerly anticipated Watch Dogs (due next week) because of Ubisoft policy.
Instead, it will launch with Destiny, which is due for release in September. So next Tuesday why not go to bed and play Watch Dogs at your leisure the next day instead?
Expect to see this sort of feature becoming more commonplace – Microsoft also have plans for a similar feature at some point (but nothing has been announced).
