Apple has set up a replacement program for some of its European iPhone USB adapters, which it believes pose a risk as they are prone to overheating.
Apple says it has has determined that, in rare cases, the 5W European USB power adapter may overheat and pose a safety risk.
“This adapter came with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S models shipped from October 2009 to September 2012 … It was also sold as a standalone accessory,” the company says.
If you have this adapter, then simply take it in to an Apple Store, where it will be replaced for free.
