Remember Homefront, the 2011 first person shooter in which you had to fight a foreign military occupation in the US? Crytek has just revealed the game is getting a sequel on PS4, Xbox One and PC next year.

The original game was met with lukewarm reviews, so fingers crossed the new game will be a bit better – what’s interesting is that it is going to be new consoles only, so could 2015 see the phasing out of the older consoles after this year’s many dual releases?
Sorry fans of the BBC DIY series, the game doesn’t appear to be related to the Laurence Llewellyn-Bowen vehicle.
