Nexus 6 rumoured to feature a 5.5" display
A new Nexus flagship is in the pipeline, and it’ll be announced later this year with a 5.5- inch display… or so, rumours suggest.
According to Ausdroid, this report comes at a time when little is known about the handset, with the rumour mill failing to spit out any specs and information about its design.
In lieu of anything to go on, we can still make some educated guesses: knowing that the alleged device features a 5.5- inch display points to it being made by LG, due to the fact that its G3 flagship‘s display is the same size.
What’s highly awkward, however, is that LG has denied any involvement with Google on the making of the handset on several occasions. One of the executives recently gave an interview and sounded like a rejected girlfriend, complaining about Google’s lack of approach. So perhaps it’s nothing more than a coincidence.
In any case, we can expect the manufacturing of the Nexus 6 to be outsourced to one of the other big players in the industry: Previously, HTC, Samsung and LG have made Nexus-branded devices. And if history is anything to go by, we should expect to see it in Autumn of this year.
