Did the Xbox One beat the PS4 in sales last week?
Potentially big news for an anxious Microsoft as it has been reported that the Xbox One outsold the PS4 in the UK last week.
According to MCV, the console which has until now played second-fiddle to Sony’s machine took the lead thanks to the release of Fifa 15 and a price cut that saw the console cut to £329 – or £349 with Fifa 15. (Sony later followed with its own price cut).
According to MCV’s source, sales of the Xbox One jumped 155% – and whilst the PS4 was also boosted by 80%, the difference allowed Microsoft to edge ahead.
It’ll be interesting to see whether this is the start of a broader turnaround for the console, which has spent the last six months playing Mea Culpa, dropping the expensive Kinect add-on from console bundles, and shouting the word “GAMES!” at anyone who will listen. Of course – there’s still a mountain to climb as this is only data from one week – there will need to be many more weeks like this before we draw any conclusions.

well xbox one console sales hold the top two spots at game with the fifa bundle and the destiny bundle
Congrats to MS, whether this continues or not, we will have to see.
Oh and LOL at @itsmeeee and @jfdelman, like @freekface says who cares if it did or didn’t…
It most likely didn’t, an 80% increase for ps4 is still more sales than the x1 at 150% increase.
bullshit
Does it bother you in someway if it did or it did not ?.
Why would you care if it did or it didn’t ?
