New Mac Mini on the way?
Word on the street is that Apple is planning to announce an updated Mac Mini – which has now gone for two years without a refresh.
The rumours come courtesy of MacRumours, which reckons that we might see the new Mini desktop hardware as early as next month – to coincide with the release of Apple’s latest desktop operating system, OS X Yosemite.
According to MacRumours, this follows a “Mid-2014” Mac Mini model being briefly listed by Apple on its website a few months ago – but a refresh would raise questions about the hardware – apparently new low-powered Broadwell processors that are expected to be in any updated machine won’t be hitting production lines until early next year.
There’s separate rumours of an Apple event scheduled for October 21st – so hopefully we’ll find out more then.
