Is Ubisoft dumping Steam?

Several Ubisoft titles have disappeared from digital game distributor Steam – is the publisher planning for force players on to its U-Play platform?
According to Here is the City Far Cry 4, Assassin’s Creed Unity and The Crew have all been pulled from Steam listings (the games aren’t actually out yet).
The games have apparently disappeared internationally too – so it appears Ubisoft is up to something.
Given that the company have three major games due out in the next few weeks, could this be an attempt to persuade gamers to give U-Play a try? We’ll keep you posted.
