Could BT be buying O2 THIS WEEK?

It looks like BT could be buying itself an early Christmas present, if reports are to be believed that its purchase of O2 is imminent.
We heard a few weeks ago that BT was mulling buying back its old mobile arm (BT used to own Cellnet, which became O2), but according to This Is Money, the firm could be poised to sign the cheques as early as this week.
There had been rumours that BT planned to buy EE instead – which is a larger company, but such a move would have upset competition regulators.
We’re just hoping the new company just changes its name to some sort of molecule, now that O2 will have bonded…
