Google Maps has juts got that little bit better for British users – the company has announced it now uses National Rail’s real time data to augment its route planning.
This means that when plotting a route, if a train is delayed Google will know – so will suggest alternatives instead. Brilliant.
According to TechRadar, the update also means you’ll be able to press on individual stations and see a live departure board, to make sure you don’t miss your connection.
We also learned recently how the rail industry is very keen on using data to make travel better for passengers.
