PS4 Remote Play unofficially ported to non-Xperia smartphones

Ever wanted to play Far Cry 4 or The Last Of Us on the go? If you’re an Android user and you have a PS4, you might just be in luck thanks to a new port.
The Droid Guy reports that a coder called TheScriptKitty has managed to port over Sony’s Remote Play app to run on any Android phone running Kitkat (4.4) and above – and possibly some older handsets too.
Whilst its an unofficial port, it doesn’t require you to root your phone. Previously in order to Remote Play you needed a PS Vita or a Sony Xperia Z3 (or Z2) phone.
You can find instructions on installing it over at XDA. Here’s hoping that it encourages Sony to make an official release of Remote Play soon.
