Sky launches its own fibre broadband service

Sky has today announced the launch of Sky Fibre, its first fibre broadband offering to chase the likes of BT Infinity.
Sky claims that its offering is the cheapest fibre broadband on the market – with speeds of up to 38Mb for only £10/month – on top of the £16.40/month line rental, of course. There will also be a £30 activation fee, and a charge of £6.95 to get the router delivered. All roughly comparable with BT.
The big differentiator is in how much bandwidth you get: Whilst BT has a cap of 20GB, Sky is offering 25GB on its lowest package.
