Ubisoft releases gigantic patch for Assassin’s Creed: Unity
Good news! One month on and Assassin’s Creed: Unity might finally be playable… as long as you download a gigantic patch.
According to Eurogamer, the patch for the PS4 version is 6.7GB big. It’s almost though the notoriously bugged game wasn’t actually finished.
Worse still, for Xbox One players the ‘patch’ clocks in at 40GB (!) – but this itself is apparently a bug, which is forcing consoles to download the entire game. Ubisoft says that it is working with Microsoft to fix this. Apparently a work-around in the meantime is to uninstall the game from your console before re-inserting the disc, and only then will it download the extra (still hefty) patch.
Still, at least you might finally get to roam the streets of Paris with characters who have faces.
