Office for Android tablets preview now available to all
All Android users are now able to download Microsoft’s Office on Android preview, as long as their devices have the capability to run it.
Microsoft has made the preview apps available to anyone using an ARM-powered tablet running KitKat or Lollipop with a screen size of between 7 inches and 10.1 inches.
The initial preview of the Office for Android suite of apps – including Word, Excel and Powerpoint – was made available in November, but only for those who signed up to a beta through Microsoft’s Google+ page.
The company wrote on its Office Blog:
“Over the last two months, we have heard from people all over the world who want the power of Office on their Android tablet. The feedback we’ve received through this initial phase of preview has helped us shape and optimize the Office experience for Android tablet users. Your feedback also helps us plan and prioritize future feature updates.
“Starting today, anyone can go to Google Play and download the Word, Excel and PowerPoint preview apps. No waitlist. No requesting access. Just go and download the apps!”
So go on … what are you waiting for?
