Skype getting a makeover for Windows 10

Skype, which is owned by Microsoft, has announced that it will be tightly integrated into Microsoft’s new Messaging client in Windows 10 – so when you upgrade it is going to look a bit different to how it does now.
In fact, some would say it might look eerily similar to Apple’s own iMessage app for MacOS:
The unified messaging service, which will also support other messengers and sync over OneDrive (for example, WhatsApp could support if it that is what its owners wanted to do), will also work with your unified address book, meaning you can Skype someone even if all you know is their mobile number.
No doubt this will be hugely welcome to users of the much loathed Windows 8 Skype client.
