Spotify and Playstation announce “Spotify on Playstation Music”

Sony has partnered with music streaming service Spotify, bringing it to consoles for the first time.
According to the official Playstation blog, the new service will be replacing Sony’s Music Unlimited service, and will let players sign in with their Spotify credentials to access custom playlists and the like.
Interestingly too, music will not just available in an app on the system, but also in game too – so conceivably GTA’s radio stations could be about to get a lot more interesting. The service will be available across PS4, PS3 and even Xperia smartphones.
It isn’t immediately clear when the new service will reach the UK – but Music Unlimited is shutting down on 29th March, so we can probably expect it some time after then.
