Assassin’s Creed Rogue on PC to come with EYE TRACKING gadget
PC players might have been waiting a while for Assassin’s Creed: Rogue, but it could be worth the wait as the game is set to come bundled with an intriguing new accessory.
Tobii Tech has come up with tech that will track a player’s eye movements around the screen as they game – apparently meaning that when you look to the left of the screen, the camera will pan to the left, and when you look to the right, the camera will go with you.
The developers are calling it “infinite screen” technology, and the implications in the game will go much broader – for example, characters will react depending on whether you’re making eye contact and you will also be able to make “multidimensional” movements – looking one way, whilst lobbing an explosive in another direction.
Unfortunately we don’t have any footage of the technology in action, but here’s a video of the same “SteelSentry” system being used by a Dota2 player.
