HP Sprout launches in the UK
HP has today announced that its “Sprout” device is now available in the UK. A combination touch-screen-projector-3d-scanner thingy, it could be a useful tool for creative types.
So imagine a touch screen iMac-style PC running Windows 8, but with a projector mounted over the top to project on to your desk… and you’re about half way there. As HP says:
“Combining a scanner, depth sensor, hi-resolution camera and projector into a single device, Sprout by HP allows users to take physical items and seamlessly merge them into a digital workspace. The system also delivers an unmatched collaboration platform, allowing users in multiple locations to collaborate on and manipulate a single piece of digital content in real-time.”

It looks like a really interesting product – and will be interesting to see if it makes an impact.
