Samsung Galaxy A5 and A3 available on O2 from today

O2 has announced that it is “ranging” Samsung’s two newest mid-range, metal-cased phones from today.

Here’s how the press release describes the handsets:

“The A3 has a 4.5” adaptive display, 8 megapixel rear camera and is available in Midnight Black, Pearl White and, exclusively on O2 at launch, Platinum Silver. Customers buying the A3 before 25 February can get 100 minutes, unlimited texts and 100MB data for £15 per month with a £49.99 upfront cost. Customers can also pay just £5 extra per month to increase their data to 500MB.

The A5 handset has a 5 inch screen and a 13 rear megapixel camera and is also available in Midnight Black and Pearl White. Customers who buy the A5 before 25 February get 500 minutes, unlimited texts and 500MB data for £23 per month with a £39.99 upfront cost. Customers looking to get more data can pay just £5 more and move from 500MB to 2GB data.

The smartphones are Samsung’s slimmest to date featuring refined full metal unibody designs (6.7 mm and 6.9 mm thin, respectively), and offer a sleek, high fashion design with advanced functions that make social networking easy.”

The phones will both be available on O2 Refresh, starting at £18/month for the A3 (with no upfront cost) and £28/month for the A5 (similarly, with no upfront cost).
