Is Mass Effect about to get a HD remaster?

The Xbox One and PS4 could be about to get a re-release of the highly acclaimed Mass Effect trilogy, if one Romanian retailer is to be believed.

The, umm, ultra-reliable source is a Romanian online shop, which suggests the game will be coming on the 1st September. Of course, we don’t have any confirmation so take this with as many grains of salt as you deem appropriate.

Such a move would make sense – the series was highly praised, there’s a fourth game coming to PS4 and Xbox One at some point, and HD remasters are relatively easy for developers and could squeeze a little bit more cash out of old games.

  • I’d say fake seeing how the image of Shepard looks squashed. They’d have scaled that better for a real box art picture. But here’s hoping it’s true as long as it comes with all dlc unlike the trilogy collection for past gen.
