Is Microsoft’s Siri-like Cortana coming to iPhone and Android?

Microsoft’s voice assistant, Cortana, could be coming to iPhone and Android, unexpectedly.
According to Reuters CEO Satya Nadella could greenlight the apps for rival platforms as part of his strategy of getting Microsoft’s products on devices people actually use – rather than insisting that they use Windows Phone.
Apparently Cortana could come as a stand alone app after the release of Windows 10 later this year.
Such a move could go one of two ways: It could enable Microsoft to compete on the two biggest mobile platforms, and get people using Microsoft services again – also providing Cortana with lots of valuable data, or it could yet further diminish the appeal of Microsoft’s own phone hardware.
We’ll let you know if we hear anything more.
