Sony sure knows how to excite gamers. Last night the company posted the below tweet, confirming that its Oculus-style VR headset that is currently in development, codenamed Project Morpheus, is nearing its final hardware spec – and that it will run at full 1080p HD at 120fps.
Project Morpheus is evolving towards near-final hardware. One key change is the new 1920 x RGB x 1080 OLED display with a 120hz refresh rate

This means that games on the device should be super fluid, and also detailed. One of the criticisms of Oculus Rift’s early hardware was that it was a bit too low-res, so Sony pushing for 1080p will be very welcome indeed.
Now how about a release date and some games?
