Titanfall 2 is coming to PS4 – just as we predicted a year ago
Big news for big mechs today, as CEO of Respawn games Vince Zampella has confirmed that a sequel to last year’s Titanfall will not be an Xbox exclusive – but will be coming to PS4 and PC too.
According to IGN, he said:
“So we’re working on a sequel. No official name yet, but we’re working on that. That’s the main focus but we’re starting up a second team and doing some smaller stuff too. Small, exploratory, taking it slow! It’ll be multiplatform.”
The asymmetric mech-shooter was widely praised for putting a twist on the standard Call of Duty deathmatch format by enabling players to summon giant robots to pilot mid-battle. What’s not to like about that?
The support for the PS4 is completely unsurprising – at least to me – as it is almost a year to the day since I predicted it would. To say I’m a little smug would be a massive understatement.
