Looking for an affordable Android smartphone with a very wide display? Alcatel has just announced the launch of its new 3V smartphone costing just £200.

Key feature is an 18:9 screen aspect ratio which results in a display that is a little bit wider than a typical 16:9 screen. In fact all Alcatel devices launched in 2018 will have this new 18:9 display ratio which Alcatel calls“Full View 18:9”.

The Alcatel 3V offers edge-to-edge viewing capabilities providing a 6 inch display in a compact form factor. You can enjoy upcoming matches, YouTube videos and films in a slick, immersive format thanks to a 2K Display, claims the manufacturer

Also on board theAlcatel 3V are two rear cameras. The dual main camera is a combination of a 12 + 2 megapixel, which allows you to create real-time Bokeh photography effects – where the background around your main subject is blurred to highlight a subject or portrait.

Busy young professionals will also love the 5MP front selfie camera for high-quality video calls. A handy fingerprint sensor makes it easy to snap that perfect moment, capturing it with a light touch on the fingerprint scanner on the back of the Alcatel 3V.

Top-of-the-range Face Key technology in the Alcatel 3V means a simple glance at the screen of your smartphone can scan your face and unlock your device, ready for use.

Along with the face-recognition technology, the Alcatel 3V also allows users to secure their smartphone with the fingerprint sensor and launch multiple apps with a designated fingerprint.

The Alcatel 3V is now available in spectrum blue, spectrum black or spectrum gold from £10.00 per month on contract from Tesco Mobile.
