Audi chauffeurs celebs to BAFTAs in electric cars

Audi celebrated a big moment at the Virgin Media British Academy Television Awards last night (Sunday 12 May 2019). On a night commemorating the very best in British TV talent, some of the big names were chauffeured to the red carpet in the first all-electric car from Audi – the e-tron.
Benedict Cumberbatch (Patrick Melrose), Jodie Whittaker (Doctor Who), Ruth Wilson (Mrs Wilson) and James Norton (McMafia) were among the talent to step out of an Audi e-tron and electrify the red carpet at London’s Royal Festival Hall.
It was the first time Audi has included the zero-local emissions model within its chauffeuring fleet. The Audi e-tron, which has just touched down in the UK, is the first of 20 electrified models planned for the Audi line-up by 2025. Audi claims the car can reach an 80% battery charge in as little as 30 minutes.
