IWOOT's Dynamo keyboard powers your PC the harder you type, with kinetic energy

I Want One Of Those doesn’t just offer robots and r/c lederhosen toys, you know! Their latest product to hit the virtual shelves should please our Hippyshopper editor, as it’s the most eco-friendly keyboard around. You can tell by the soft green glow, innit.

When typing on the Dynamo keyboard from IWOOT, the kinetic energy produced from your usage is transferred to your PC, and stored as electricity which, in true eco-friendly form, powers the whole unit. You don’t even have to plug your PC into a socket! It’s the ultimate way of using your desktop wirelessly, where you can the maximum performance of your hulking beast, but used just like a laptop….

First photos of the BlackBerry 9000 smartphone with HSDPA and Wi-Fi debut on the internet

The news has been doing the rounds for a while, so it’s reassuring to see Engadget Mobile has secured actual photos of the new BlackBerry 9000, the first to feature HSDPA and Wi-Fi.

Seen above on the far right, its sleek lines and curves coupled with the silver edging secures the BlackBerry’s status for at least another 12 month contract length. Engadget raved about their hands-on moment…

Is the free mobile video service Vtap worth the two minutes it takes to download?

The above photos were taken of my HTC Touch mobile, running a new service called Vtap, which offers video content direct to your mobile handset.

As you can see, the results on my phone were particularly unattractive to say the least, but that could be due to the GPRS internet connectivity and the actual handset’s performance. Downloading the small file was relatively painless, however navigating around the Vtap site proved much more challenging. With the offered videos on the home page being decidedly unappealing, you have to really search for anything that interests you…

The all-singing, all-dancing Sony Rolly gets new colours in Japan – before we even see one!

In addition to the original white Rolly, Sony has announced a black shade to match your black, black heart. Although heaven knows what an angst-ridden music fan like you is doing with a dancing MP3 player!

Glu Mobile dusts Sega's Virtua Fighter off from the attic, offers as a mobile game port in June

Glu Mobile’s ongoing partnership with Sega looks set to bring a huge drawcard to the mobile gaming platform, with the ‘ancient’ 1993 Virtua Fighter getting some spiffy new graphics for the upcoming Java port.

It’s due to hit Europe in June, according to Pocket Gamer. Sadly, I don’t think it’ll quite compare to the Sega Saturn version, but at least it’ll be fun to walk down memory lane with Akira Yuki and Pai Chan….
