Shiny Video: London's Guinness Book of World Records' gaming character costumes attempt
This morning I waved my gamer-geek credentials high in the sky from London’s Millennium Bridge, where the Guinness Book of World Records staged an event, attempting to gather together the most people in one place dressed as game characters.
Take a look at the video above for some choice costumes, including the twenty-odd strong group of school kids dressed as Mario (one of them shouted out to me, as I was also dressed as Mario, “Mario! we’re your sons!”), Crash Bandicoot, Sonic the Hedgehog, a chilly-looking Lara Croft, Final Fantasy’s Rikku plus a whole lot more.

Trent Reznor expands on his internet prowess, calls upon UGC for Ghosts music videos
Not a week after releasing his album Ghosts I-IV for free download, Trent Reznor is at it again, giving fans the opportunity to create music videos for the album’s 36 songs.
Via a video on YouTube, Reznor has asked his fans to create videos for the instrumental songs, which will be uploaded to YouTube, and featured in a take-over similar to last week’s Sigur Ros day. It was only a few weeks ago at the Mobile World Congress that we first laid our eyes on the KF600 mobile phone from LG, which sports a unique control system, with a normal screen and smaller touchscreen, the ‘InteractPad’.

It snuck onto the site very quietly last week, but finally, we’re able to watch YouTube videos in a higher quality than those awful disjointed clips we’ve grown accustomed to.
Posted on the YouTube blog last week, they said this of the move – “You may have noticed that we’re now giving you the option of watching some YouTube videos in higher quality. We’re making these streams available on certain videos, based upon the source file uploaded to us, and over time you’ll find a greater percentage of the library is available to view in higher quality. This feature applies to all eligible videos uploaded from the YouTube community, and is not restricted to partner content, so everyone can enjoy this upgrade.”
