Nixie tube wristwatch – the Rolex of geek accessories
This has to be the ultimate retro display watch. A homage to Nixie tubes(it even uses vintage tubes from 1968), the unique timepieces were produced in a limited run of 25, which, even at $495, all sold out. OK, you might not be able to actually wear it, but it is undeniably impressive.

ThinkGeek shirts: the only good LOLcat is a dead LOLcat
Finally, it begins. I’ve been waiting for an anti-lolcats backlash since I first clapped eyes on ‘cheezeburger’, and since the ratio for genuinely funny lolcat pics is about 1:70 nowadays, I’m sure I am not alone. Greenpeace accuses Nintendo of not playing eco-friendly ball, in Greener Guide to Electronics report
It might be top of class in the hardware stakes, but Nintendo is apparently flunking its environmental responsibilities. New Ravers, rejoice! ColorWare have added the DS Lite to their library of customisable gaming hardware. Using the online palette, you can select your own garish combination of glossy, scratch resistant finishes. The Nokia N82 just got even cooler, with new black colour
According to their press release, Nokia are marketing their new N82 to ‘urbanistas’ (even Nathan Barley would turn his nose up at that one), but it’s already been adopted by rugged men’s men. James Cracknell used one to get him from England to Morocco in his cycling/swimming/rowing marathon last month.
Radiohead's response to Trent Reznor's 'insincere' taunt? Copy his UGC idea for In Rainbows videos
Yesterday we told you about NIN front man Trent Reznor’s creative call to arms, giving fans the opportunity to create their own videos for the band’s new album ‘Ghosts I-IV’.
Well, less than a week after Reznor called them ‘insincere’ for the ‘bait and switch’ tactics used in the release of their own record, In Rainbows, Radiohead have taken a leaf out of his book, photocopied it, and started their own UGC competition.
