Designed ostensibly for kitchen/portable use the model couples radio facilities including DAB/ DAB+ and FM with ReVu PURE's technology that enables the user to pause and rewind live DAB radio.
GEAR4 debuts 'world's first wireless iPhone charger'
Except that the PowerPad isn't quite as smart as that. Basically it is a flat pad that uses inductive charging to power the iPhone's battery. The good bit is that you can put the iPhone anywhere on the pad for it to charge up. The downside is that the phone needs to be sporting a protective rubber case.
More celeb iPhone apps – now it is Jamie Oliver's turn
It is quite a sober and sensible idea in that for £4.99 (bit pricey Jamie) you get access to a load of recipes (with accompanying imatges and video) which apparently only take 20 minutes to rustle up. The fun bit is that if you can't be bothered to decide what to cook you simply shake your iPhone or iPod touch to generate a random recipe.
20 mega pixel camera phones coming in 2010
Texas Instruments has announced a coprocessor for mobile phones, the OMAP-DM525 that offers 20 mega pixel camera imaging capabilities and 720p high definition recordings. The coprocessor is currently undergoing testing at the moment and will apparently go on sale in 2010.
Sky launches music service
The best bit is that Sky subscribers get a free album if they sign up for a trial. It is also a fairly competitive service with individual tracks selling for 65p each – which is cheaper than many of Sky's rivals.
LG adds solar power to its ereaders
The panel – which is 0.7mm in thickness and weighs 20gm, has been designed to fit into LG's range of 6inch panel ereaders. Apparently four or five hours of sunlight will give the ereader enough power to keep the user reading for a whole day.
