UK iPhone fans warned off unlocked French handsets
Lots of talk in today’s papers about the prospect of hordes of Brits travelling to France to try and pick up an unlocked iPhone in the near future. It’s all because of French law, which apparently requires all phones to be offered in unlocked versions, even if the manufacturers have signed an exclusive deal with an operator (Orange, in the iPhone’s case).
eBay clamps down on UK iPhone auctions
It’s iPhone launch day here in the UK, although scandalously, we’re having to wait until 6.02pm this evening to get our hands on Apple’s handset, whereas German consumers could buy theirs this morning. Grr. Anyway, as you’d expect, eBay is roaring with iPhone-related auctions…
